Join us for the 2026 German Immersion Conference, dedicated to empowering German immersion educators and administrators across the U.S. and Canada.
Our goal is to provide a dynamic platform for German education professionals to collaborate, share best practices, and enhance teaching skills through innovative curricula and resources.
Who Should Participate?
We invite German immersion teaching professionals, admin and governance from pre-K to secondary education to sign up for the conference in order to exchange ideas, and contribute to a thriving network of educators passionate about promoting German immersion language and culture education.
What to Expect:
- Interactive Workshops and Presentations: Engage in hands-on sessions designed to enhance teaching methodologies and resources.
- Networking Opportunities: Connect with fellow educators, share experiences, and build lasting professional relationships.
- Cultural Insights: Explore contemporary German culture through discussions and activities that enrich your understanding and teaching of the language.
- Roundtables: Share ideas and concerns with fellow educators and administrators
Enrollment deadline, April 15 2026.
- Cancellations received by May 1st will receive a 90% refund.
- Cancellations made between May 1st and May 15th will receive a 50% refund.
- Cancellations after May 15th will not be eligible for a refund.

How to find us:
The GAI is located on the north end of Summit Avenue, just 2 blocks south of the St. Paul Cathedral and James J. Hill House. Our parking lot is located behind the Haus and is accessible from Farrington Street.
To reach the GAI by bus, you can take the 21/21A to Selby Avenue and Farrington Street and walk 2 blocks south. For enthusiastic walkers, routes 3, 16, 54, 63, 70, 74, and 417 are less than a 15-minute walk away. Find the route that’s best for you at metrotransit.org.
