START 3: A1.3 (online) - Tues AM

Course Description:

For students with 6 months of German study or completion of START 2 (A1.2), or as a refresher before moving up to the A2.1 level. This group will finish the last chapters of the Schritte International Neu 1+2 textbook and continue preparing for the A2.1 level in winter 2025.

Learn in a fun environment that focuses on communication and teaches important language skills for everyday life and contemporary professional aspects.

Course Objectives:

At the end of A 1.3, students will be able to talk about their personal lives and offer some details. They can interact in a simple way with other German speakers. They will learn to speak about their likes and dislikes and be able to ask for help or advice in most everyday situations. They will be able to pass the A1 language proficiency test of the Goethe-lnstitut.

**This is an ONLINE class that meets for 12 weeks on Tuesday mornings from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, via Zoom. The Zoom link will be emailed to participants approximately 72 hours before the start of the class**

Schritte International Neu 1+2 (textbook and coursebook) - $75

You can add the textbook to your order at checkout. Books will be ready for pickup at the GAI (301 Summit Ave, MN 55102) a week before classes begin. You will receive an email with pickup instructions. If you would like to get your book in the mail, please add shipping to your order (a $10 fee applies).

Minimum Enrollment:

If there are too few students registered to run a class section, the Director of Language Education will contact the student(s) in the week prior to the term’s start date to discuss other class options.
