Course Description:

For students who have completed B1.1. 

Learn in a fun environment that focuses on communication and teaches important language skills for everyday life and contemporary professional aspects.

Course Objectives:

 

At the end of B1.2, students will be able to understand and analyze some fictional texts as well as longer newspaper articles. They will be able to understand German advertising and TV and radio features. They will also be able to discuss problems, opinions, and plans.

 

Meeting Times:

This is an in-person class that meets for 12 weeks on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30PM. Additionally, the instructor will offer a weekly "office hour" (30 min) for homework questions and review.

 

Textbook:

Schritte International Neu 5+6 (textbook and coursebook) - $75

You can add the textbook to your order at checkout. Books will be ready for pickup at the GAI (301 Summit Ave, MN 55102) a week before classes begin. You will receive an email with pickup instructions. If you would like to get your book in the mail, please add shipping to your order (a $10 fee applies).

 

Minimum Enrollment:

If there are too few students registered to run a class section, the Director of Language Education will contact the student(s) in the week prior to the term’s start date to discuss other class options.
