Course Description:

For students with 9-12 months of German study or completion of START 3 (A1.3).

Learn in a fun environment that focuses on communication and teaches important language skills for everyday life and contemporary professional aspects.

Course Objectives:

At the end of A2.1, students will be able to talk about their personal lives and offer some details.  They will start to learn how to express emotions in their speaking. They can interact in a simple way with other German speakers and understand simple factual texts.

Meeting Times:

This is an in-person class that meets for 12 weeks on Thursday mornings from 9:30 AM - noon. Part of this timeframe will consist of 30-minutes "office hour" where students can ask questions about homework, further lesson clarification, etc.

Textbook:

Schritte International Neu 3+4 (textbook and coursebook) - $75

You can add the textbook to your order at checkout. Books will be ready for pickup at the GAI (301 Summit Ave, MN 55102) a week before classes begin. You will receive an email with pickup instructions. If you would like to get your book in the mail, please add shipping to your order (a $10 fee applies).

Minimum Enrollment:

If there are too few students registered to run a class section, the Director of Language Education will contact the student(s) in the week prior to the term’s start date to discuss other class options.
