Dive into the world of German literature with our 4-week course at the B2 to C1 level. Join us for stimulating discussions on two timeless masterpieces: "Biedermann und die Brandstifter" by Max Frisch (1953) and "Der Besuch der alten Dame" by Friedrich Dürrenmatt (1956).
In "Biedermann und die Brandstifter," we explore themes of cowardice, moral passivity, and the reluctance to recognize evil. Through lively debates, we delve into the complexities of human nature and society's response to moral dilemmas.
Continuing our journey, "Der Besuch der alten Dame" delves into the moral compromises made in pursuit of wealth, alongside themes of revenge and guilt. Explore the intricate layers of human behavior and societal dynamics in this captivating narrative.
