German Language Opportunity for current 8th graders after TCGIS

Attention 8th grade families! If your student will not be attending Central High School but is interested in continuing their German studies—or is considering studying in Germany in the future— the GAI has the program for you!

The Germanic-American Institute (GAI) is offering a TestDaF preparation program beginning in September 2026 for current 8th graders. This two-year program prepares students for the TestDaF exam, an internationally recognized certification that serves as an external equivalent to the DSD II. Successfully completing the TestDaF satisfies the language requirements for university study in Germany.

An informational session will be held online on Tuesday, June 2 at 6:00 PM. Families are encouraged to attend to learn more about the program, expectations, and enrollment details.

This is a wonderful pathway for students to deepen their German skills and open doors to future academic opportunities abroad!
