Storms, Sea, and a Brilliant Mind
Easy German Literature – a relaxed 4-week B1 summer course
The days are long, the weather is warm—and you’d like to keep up your German, but without the pressure? Then this course is just right: a summer dive into easy, engaging German literature, full of atmosphere and enjoyable to read.
At the heart of the course is a dramatic story set on the North Sea coast: storms are rising, the water keeps climbing, and the Dykemaster Hauke Haien is determined to improve the coastal defenses. But he’s not only up against the forces of nature—he also faces doubt and resistance from the people around him.
Reason or emotion? Progress or tradition? Who will prevail?
What can you expect?
We’ll read and discuss selected, accessible excerpts at B1 level. The focus is not on understanding every single word, but on grasping the story, sharing ideas, and building confidence. You’ll naturally expand your vocabulary and feel more comfortable reading and speaking.
Why this course?
Who is it for?
For learners at B1 level who want to improve their German while enjoying a great story—no exams, no stress. So sit back, get into the rhythm of wind and waves, and discover how enjoyable German can be with the right story.
Literature can be easy—and fun.
