Meet the German dative case—the behind-the-scenes VIP that quietly runs “to,” “for,” and “where” while your sentences pretend they’ve got it all together. In four weeks, you’ll charm tricky articles, tame dative-loving verbs and prepositions, and finally stop guessing who gets what (and where it’s happening). Expect patterns that stick, practice that clicks, and the satisfying moment when German starts making suspicious amounts of sense.

Recommended levels:

This course is recommended for students who have finished an A1.2 class up to to B1. It is not recommended for complete beginners, as basic knowledge of German language structure is highly recommended. 

Meeting Times:

This is an in-person class that meets weekly on 4 Wednesdays at the Germanic American Institute.

If there are too few students registered to run a class section, the Director of Language Education will contact the student(s) in the week prior to the session’s start date to discuss other class options.
