Structurally: B2.2 continues the Upper Intermediate German sequence. Students will reinforce and expand the grammatical structures introduced in B2.1 while developing greater precision and flexibility in their use of German. They will continue to work with complex sentence structures, passive constructions, relative clauses, subjunctive forms, and advanced connectors while focusing on expressing more nuanced ideas, arguments, and perspectives.
Functionally: Students will further develop their ability to communicate confidently in personal, professional, and academic contexts. They will discuss social and cultural topics, analyze information, present and defend viewpoints, participate in discussions and debates, and respond appropriately to different perspectives. Students will continue to expand their vocabulary, improve their comprehension of authentic materials, and develop more natural and effective communication strategies.
Objectives: At the end of B2.2, students will be able to discuss complex topics in detail, express and justify their opinions with well-developed arguments, and participate actively in extended conversations. They will be able to understand authentic spoken and written texts, summarize and evaluate information, write structured and coherent texts, and adapt their language to different social, professional, and academic situations.
