B2.1 (in-person ~ Wed. PM)

Course Description:

B2.1 will cover the first four chapters of the Sicher! B2 book. 

Learn in a fun environment that focuses on communication and teaches important language skills for everyday life and contemporary professional aspects.

Course Objectives:

At the end of B2.1, participants can understand the main content of complex texts on concrete and abstract topics. They will be able to communicate more spontaneously and fluently so that a normal conversation with native speakers is possible without major effort on either side.   

Course Dates, Times & Location:

This is an in-person that meets for 12 weeks on Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:30pm once a week. Additionally, the instructor will offer a weekly "office hour" (30 min) for homework questions and review. The course instructor will decide on a day/time to offer the 30-minute office hour and communicate day/time of week with all registered course participant

Textbooks:

Sicher! B2 - Deutsch als Fremdsprache (Kursbuch + Arbeitsbuch)

• Cost: $75 for the set, available for purchase directly from the GAI by adding the textbook option to your cart.
• Order Deadline: Please note that the cutoff to order textbooks from the GAI is August 29th, 2025 in order to receive your books in time. Book orders placed after August 29th cannot be guaranteed to be available by the start date.
• Textbook Pickup: Books ordered on or before 8/29/2025 will be available for pick up approximately one week prior to the first class session.
• Shipping: If you live outside of the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area and/or cannot pick up your books at the GAI, you will need to select the shipping option at checkout. A $12.00 shipping & handling fee applies

Minimum Enrollment:

If there are too few students registered to run a class section, the Director of Language Education will contact the student(s) in the week prior to the term’s start date to discuss other class options.
