Kids will unleash their inner engineer as they learn about roller coaster engineering, physics, and design! Kids will have the opportunity to build a rollercoaster with turns, twists, and motorized gears! They will conduct hands-on experiments to learn about energy, motion, and force, all while learning new industry-specific German language skills! Other STEM activities and projects will be included, if time allows.
A $20 materials fee is already included in camp price.
This is a bilingual camp. All levels of German proficiency are welcome, but we aim to utilize as much German as possible and to encourage all children to utilize their German as they are comfortable.

Calling all young chefs to join our Cooking Camp with a German Twist at the Germanic American Institute! From 9 AM to 12 PM, 8-12 year-olds will embark on a delightful culinary adventure that combines the best of German flavors with creative cooking fun.
Facilitated by experienced instructors, our camp goes beyond the basics, infusing each lesson with a tasty German touch. Kids will not only learn essential cooking skills, but also gain a cultural appreciation for the rich culinary traditions of Germany.
A $20 material fee is already included in the camp price.
This is an immersive-style camp. It is recommended that campers have at least an intermediate level of German.

What makes apples brown? Or mold grow on bread? Can we make Jell-O not set? The kitchen is an amazing place to test out scientific principles. This week we will experiment with many concepts in and around the kitchen, and get to test how they turn out!

German Summer Camps for Children ages 8 to 12
These camps are for all German language levels, from German beginners to bilingual campers, all are welcome! Each camp lasts one week (M–F) and is centered around a fun and highly-interactive theme. Please see the specific camp description for German experience recommendations and camp theme/focus. During these fun and interactive camps, children will speak, hear, sing and create in German while exploring engaging topics!
Scholarships and Discounts
Limited need-based scholarship opportunities are available. Please fill out the scholarship HERE or contact [email protected] prior to registering if you would like to apply for a scholarship. If you register multiple children for the same camp week, a $20 discount will be applied to the 2nd registration.
