- Structurally: A2.2 continues the Advanced Beginner German sequence. Students will reinforce and expand the grammatical structures they have learned so far while developing greater accuracy in their use of German. They will continue to work with subordinate clauses and sentence structure while expanding their knowledge of adjective endings, prepositions of time and place, and additional uses of the subjunctive for suggestions, advice, and hypothetical situations.
- Functionally: Students will continue to expand their vocabulary and communication skills in order to discuss a wider range of everyday topics. They will learn to describe their living environment, discuss travel and transportation, talk about health and daily routines, and express their preferences, feelings, and opinions in more detail. Students will practice communicating in practical situations and adding more information to their conversations.
- Objectives: At the end of A2.2, students will be able to communicate about their personal and professional lives with more detail and confidence. They will be able to describe experiences, explain reasons, express opinions and preferences, and participate in conversations about familiar topics. Students will be able to understand and provide more detailed information in everyday situations and continue progressing toward the B1 level.
