Course Description:
Are you getting ready for a trip to Germany or a German-speaking country? This 4-week specialty short course will prepare you for your trip and enhance your experience. You will acquire basic German language skills and learn about the culture and everyday life of Germany and German-speaking countries. In a fun and interactive way, you will get ready for typical travel situations like meeting people, shopping, making reservations, eating at a restaurant or using public transportation.
This class is suitable for beginners at the A1.3 through A2.3 levels.
If you have completed more than two beginners levels (as noted above) or have stayed in a German-speaking country for an extended period of time please stay tuned - an advanced German for Travelers (B1 levels and up) class will be offered in the future.
Meeting Times:
This is an online class that meets for 4 weeks on Saturday mornings from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, starting Saturday, April 26th through Saturday, May 17th, 2025.
Participants will receive the Zoom Link and an invitation to their Google Classroom 48 hours before the first session.
Books/Materials:
None needed! The instructor will provide all materials in digital format.
Minimum Enrollment:
If there are too few students (6 or fewer) registered to run this course, the Director of Language Education will contact the student(s) in the week prior to the term’s start date to discuss other class options.
